New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), in collaboration with Communications and Manufacturing Association of India (CMAI), will organize a round-table conference on "Telecom Sector in Education Development" on November 4, 2008 in the capital.
The conference will aim at harnessing potentials of new communication technologies to bridge the urban-rural divide.
It will deliberate on the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for rural knowledge connectivity and capacity building programmes.
It will also identify other cost-effective communication technologies best suited for delivery of distance education.
